Idea validation

The main ideas behind this blogpost are the following three steps:
1. MVP description
2. Storyboard
3. Idea Validation (test your storyboard)

From all possible ideas that we created in the ideation session, we sorted and arranged them to a minimum viable product chart. It contains the minimum functionality that is needed for the product above the zigzag line. Under the line are some possible functionality that could be implemented afterwards.

We also used value proposition canvas to illustrate how we can answer to different used needs and what value our solution brings.
After that we created a storyboard that illustrates how the functionality can be used in a office environment.

We then wanted to validate our ideas so we held a questionnaire with Google forms and six people participated. We presented the storyboard, a written story to accommodate it and asked a few questions.

Kysymyksen otsikko: Notifying bad postures / Huonojen asentojen ilmoittaminen. Vastausten määrä: 6 vastausta.Formsin vastausdiagrammi. Kysymyksen otsikko: Identification / Tunnistautuminen. Vastausten määrä: 6 vastausta.Formsin vastausdiagrammi. Kysymyksen otsikko: Automatic user login into the computer systems / Automaattinen sisäänkirjautuminen tietokonejärjestelmiin. Vastausten määrä: 6 vastausta.Formsin vastausdiagrammi. Kysymyksen otsikko: Automatic adjusting of the workspace (chair, table, etc) / Automaattinen työpisteen ergonomian säätäminen (työtuoli, pöytä, jne.). Vastausten määrä: 6 vastausta.
As can be seen from the results, participants were quite like minded about the importance of different functions. Identification divided opinions the most. Participants were quite open and positive about our ideas and ⅚ of them would be willing to try this kind of product.
